I'm back and I have a new kit

It's been a while, but I actually did some designing this week. Last october we got the key to our new house. It was build from scratch, it was completely empty, so we had to do so much work the past couple of months. But now it's almost done and I can now sit behind my computer without feeling guilty.......lol!

Kim B had a fabulous deal last week, and I had to do something with her overlays, so I came up with the kit "Lilac Love". It's a small one, 5 papers, some elements and of course some matching styles. Hope you like it. To give you an idea of what you can do with it I added my P365 layout of last week. Have fun!

I've been away for a while. We got the key of our new house last thursday and I really had to do a lot for that. So after this new kit I might be away for a while....... but I promise to come back!!

Today I have a kit called "Sweet Little Kitten". The theme was based on the picture of the layout below. After I took it, I surfed around on 'deviantart' and I found some really nice brushes, with which I made this kit. Please note that the copyright of the little kitty is of the Sanrio corporation!

I finally managed to complete my new kit called Isabelles Dress. My daughter got this lovely dress from her grandparents who just returned from their vacation in the US. The colors were so wonderful that I decided to do something with it.

I made a layout to show you some of the content.

Because it's so big (app. 150 MB) I decided to split it in parts. There will be six parts; 5 parts with papers and elements and another part with matching styles.

I got e-mail from people who are asking if I'm ok. Well, I am!!

But lately it's been very busy. My two daughters had their birthdays, school holidays and last but most important I can't get any designing done. I'm busy with a summer kit for almost ages.... I got the papers but I really have no inspiration for the elements, well, actually I got some inspiration but when I'm behind my PS program I cannot get anything done. Maybe it's something like a 'writers block' or so.......

I live in the Netherlands and i don't know I you guys know what the weather is like most of the year here (cold and rainy)... but it's beautiful now! It's about 25 degrees Celcius (77 Fahrenheit) and it's really good weather to be outside in the garden with the children. And then in the evening... well then I have to get some household done.....yuk! So little time to sit behind my computer.

But please don't worry. I will be back and I hope you have the patience to wait for that. The only thing I do now is making layouts for the P365 - project. If you are curious, you can find them on my other (family) blog.

What should have been a really good day, turned out to be a disaster. While our royal family was doing a city tour on our national 'Queen's day', which they do every year, someone made an attack on our royal family by driving through dozens of people with a car trying to hurt the royal bus where our royals were in. 5 people got killed today by one maniac.......

But I had this kit already made, so I decided to give it to you anyway. Hope you had a nice day despite everything.

Ik geef deze kit weg met een beetje een dubbel gevoel....Ik had hem al grotendeels af voor koninginnedag en ik kan me voorstellen dat er toch genoeg foto's zijn gemaakt om te scrappen. Erg jammer dat door een zo'n maniac een vrolijk feest voor altijd wordt gemaakt tot een feestdag met een zwart randje....

Sorry to all you english-speaking people in the world, today I have a Dutch kit. So this will be a post in dutch for all the dutch scrappers around. But hey...If you like the mini kit anyway, snatch it at the end of this post.

Nou eindelijk eens een keer een bericht in het nederlands. Een tijdje geleden kwam Marco Brsato uit met een nieuw nummer getiteld 'dochters'. Toe ik het hoorde bedacht ik dat dat leuk zou zijn om daar iets mee te scrappen. Dus toen mijn beide dochters op school op de foto gingen wist ik wat ik er mee zou doen.....

Ik heb van de tekst van het nummer een overlay gemaakt bij de eerste layout. Toen bedacht ik me dat er misschien wel meer scrappers zouden zijn die er iets mee zouden kunnen, dus vandaar dat ik van de elementen van deze layout heb besloten een mini-kit te maken.

Hij bevat 2 papers, 1 overlay en 7 elementen.

De frames van de tweede layout heb ik er niet bij gedaan want dat is gewoon een schaduw en stroke instelling. Voor degenen die het willen weten: Schaduw instellingen zijn: dist 37, spr 8 en size 40. Stroke is 19 pixels.

Hi there,

I do not have much time to design right now. Have some catching up to do in my house and I want to try to do some P365 layouts, bacause I'm seven (!!!) weeks behind.

BUT, I want to give my blog a new look, because this white one is soooo boring.

I did some research on the net, but could not find it. So maybe you guys out there can give me some hints...... I see layouts behind the blogtext everywhere, but I do not know how to get it there. Anyone can help me??? You can send me an e-mail or leave a comment. It is much appreciated!!

The style was designed for rather large objects, but it's easy to size down:

go to 'layer style', than to 'pattern overlay' and you can move the 'scale' handle to the left to size down the pattern. Have fun!

New P365 kit!

Not long ago I decided that I wanted to do something different than the things I had done before. So that's why I came up with the kit "Small One", because I think it fits small children. I have drawn the animals my own, and for a first attempt I must admit I like them.

You can see the layouts below:

And here's the kit you came for. It contains solid structured papers and four animal overlays. I combined them to make the journaling in my layout. Try some different blending modes! The glittertiles are 1000x1000px (and not seamless), I used them for my daynames with a clipping mask. Enjoy!

Black N White part 2; the elements

I just discovered the fuss on the internet about viruses caught via downloading files from 4-shared (on Digishoptalk). I am a Mac user so no fuss here....thank God! When I was a Windows user I always tried to stay away from pop-ups and ads as far as possible, as I don't think the nasty stuff is in the downloads itself, but in all the things that are on the page that you don't ask for. My 'surfing' behaviour results in no spam, really, NO spam. Well, last time a friend spent a couple of hours behind my Mac and I got one spam e-mail...... Guess I'm the only one in the world with weird surfing behaviour, but everything I want to know I can find on the web.

So, it took a while, but me and my family have been sick in sequence.

I've been working on a black and white kit and I just finished it. At last.....

I did a double layout for my Project 365 (yeah I know......I'm a month behind...lol) to show you what's inside.

The silver days are from my "P365 - A Dutch One" kit

All the P365 files that are offered on the internet are almost all in english. Nothing wrong with, but I would like to make a book in dutch, so I did some designing and came up with a Dutch P365 kit. Te colors were inspired by the bag on the first layout, where my daughter and her friend were playing hide and seek...

So for every scrapping lady (or gentleman...lol!) around the world that would like to do the P365 in Dutch I proudly present you: P365 - A Dutch One!

I made my week 3 layout with the kit and I must admit that I like the result.

So here's what's in the kit: Papers, a QP, day elements, date elements, monthly overlays, day frames and a tag. I got plenty of ideas left for more dutch add-ons and I probably will do some more designing to scrap more of my weekly layouts. The only thing I fear is the time to make it all happen. CU STORYFRAME

I was doing a layout of my childeren that needed more journaling than one journaling block. I came up with the idea of a storyframe, several pictures and several bits of jouraling to tell the whole story. When I finished it, I decided to make it a temlate, so I hope you can use it. It's a layerd PSD file with clipping and text layers, and a white and black frame. The PNG files are only the black and white frame.

My first freebie kit: December in Holland

Hi Fellowscrappers,

in Holland we celebrate on december the 5th the birthday of Sinterklaas. It's something like SantaClaus. The small children believe in him as if he really exists. In the evening they put a shoe near a door or fireplace and they sing songs (I guess it's like the stockings and the fireplace...). The next morning they will find some candy or a present in their shoe.

Ok, back to scrapping. I looked around and didn't find any kits I really liked, so I tried some designing myself. I made some layouts of my children to show you the content.

So, here's what's in the kit:

Papers - plain, patterned, wordart and candy

Elements - frames, emblems, rubons, buttons, eyelets, stickers, stamps, charms

Alpha - pepernoot and chocolate letter

It's a 12' x 12' kit 300dpi.

I saved all the JPG's in quality 12, I guess that's a bit overdone, because it makes the files rather large. Anyone any suggestions for that? Cause I'm not sure what quality will do for printing.

If you have any suggestions or questions about the kit, please don't hesitate to let me know.
